Moved from Columbia Maryland to Arlington and learned about this place. I LOVE it's 24/7. Great staff, great prices and great food. No wonder tons of people come here all hours of the day. I love days that I can make a trip there!

Cute diner with great service. Parking is tight. The food was good, but I would have been willing to pay extra for real maple syrup for the hotcakes had it been offered. Otherwise, everything was cooked well. Super friendly staff, clean dining area. I expect to eat here again.

Bob & Edith’s Diner - Columbia Pike, Arlington, VA I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bob & Edith’s Diner on Columbia Pike, and let me tell you, it was an experience worth sharing! From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. Despite the ongoing roadway construction in the area, the diner maintained its charm and accessibility, making it a reliable stop even during challenging times. One of the first things I noticed was the fast service. Arriving at 5 AM on a Tuesday, with light rain drizzling outside, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly my order was taken and delivered. The efficiency of the staff is commendable, especially given the early hour. They were not only quick, it was also attentive, ensuring that I had everything I needed for a satisfying breakfast. The food was absolutely delightful! Each dish was made exactly as I ordered, showcasing the kitchen's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. I opted for their classic breakfast platter, and every bite was a reminder of why this diner has become my go-to spot for late nights and early mornings. The eggs were cooked to perfection, the pancakes were fluffy and delicious, and the coffee was just what I needed to kickstart my day. What impressed me even more was the cleanliness of the restaurant. Throughout my visit, I noticed the staff continually cleaning and maintaining the dining area, which contributed to the overall pleasant atmosphere. It’s clear that they take pride in their establishment and want to provide a comfortable environment for their guests. While parking can be a bit limited, it’s a small hiccup compared to the fantastic experience I had inside. The cozy, albeit small, setting of the diner adds to its charm, making it feel like a hidden gem in Arlington. If you’re looking for a friendly spot that serves up delicious food with a side of warmth and hospitality, Bob & Edith’s Diner is the place to be. I left feeling satisfied and ready to take on the day, thanks to the incredible service and mouthwatering food. I can't recommend this diner enough for anyone in the area—whether you're a local or just passing through, it's a must-visit!

Bob and Edith’s provides an essential diner experience. The staff is incredibly welcoming: upon arrival and entry into the unassuming building, we were given an enthusiastic greeting. “Welcome to Bob and Edith’s!” Welcome indeed. We loved dining at Bob and Edith’s so much that we returned a few weeks later, craving another sip of vanilla milkshake. As college students, we are frequently looking for both high-quality meals and top-notch dining experiences at a low price. The first and possibly most important element about this specific Bob and Edith’s location is the ambience. This restaurant feels straight out of a teen coming-of-age movie. Booths line the windowed walls, which are filled with diner paraphernalia accumulated throughout its 55 years of existence. Bob and Edith’s is an excellent date spot. Don’t expect to dine there without seeing a happy couple or two, us included! Let’s discuss the food. Looking at the menu, we noticed something peculiar. Bob and Edith’s offers a hamburger in both the “Burgers” and “Subs” sections of their menu, with a significant price difference. We were curious about what a hamburger would be doing in the “Subs” section of the menu, so we ordered it. To our delight, we were presented with a sub sandwich containing two rolled-up ground beef patties. As unusual as that may sound, the taste was fantastic. The beef blend used was highly flavorful and the bread complemented it perfectly. Additionally, we tried a diner classic: a short stack of pancakes. The pancakes were exactly what one would expect but there was a small detail that was special. There was a well in the middle of the pancakes holding a significant amount of melted butter. Neither of us had seen such a thing before in any diner we had visited. However, we think it should be implemented worldwide as those pancakes held a marvelous amount of flavor. Lastly, we concluded our meal with a milkshake. It was absolutely phenomenal. As well as giving us the milkshake glass, they brought the shaker with them and gave us the ice cream that was left over from it. We were not sure whether they made the ice cream or bought it, but it was incredible. In all, Bob and Edith’s Diner on Columbia Pike is an incredible spot to grab a bite at all hours of the day and night. They offer all varieties of food and incredible service.

Bob and Edith’s is a lovely dose of nostalgia on a plate. As a young student in the DMV, I remember the first location of Columbia Pike. It’s open 24 hours and it was a treat to indulge in sone classic American comfort food.

I'm not a huge fan of diners but I love one that initials are WH I've been looking for something similar and this place was recommended to me. We went on a rainy Tuesday for breakfast and it was seat yourself. Our waiter came over immediately and took our order. I ordered the two eggs, sausage and a pancake. Lemme say, I was impressed!!! I love hash browns but usually have a hard time finding them since most restaurants serve home fries. Bob and Edith's hash browns were delicious! The pancakes...OMG top notch! I'm usually a French Toast lover but I'd definitely get the pancakes here. My fiance ordered the French Toast and they were the best ones I've ever had from a diner. It's actually very comparable to any breakfast restaurant. I will definitely be a return customer!
